1. Content of the Website

The author assumes no guarantee for the timeliness, correctness, completeness or quality of the information provided here. Expressly rejected are liability claims against the author where such are based on tangible or intangible damage arising from the use or non-use of the information offered here and/or due to the use of deficient or incomplete information, in so far as no intentional or grossly negligent fault on the part of the author is proved.

All offers are without obligation and are not binding. The author expressly retains the right to modify, augment, or delete parts of the pages or the entire Website without notice and to terminate publication either temporarily or permanently.

2. References and links

In the case of direct or indirect reference to third-party Internet pages (links) which are beyond the author’s influence, liability will be borne only in the event that the author is familiar with the contents and if it were technically possible and reasonable for him to prevent use in the event that the contents are in violation of the law.

The author herewith expressly declares that when the link was inserted, no illegal content could be recognised on the linked pages. The author has no influence of any kind on the current and future design, content or authorship of the linked pages. Consequently, the author distances himself expressly from all the contents of all linked pages which were changed after the link was inserted. This applies to all the links and references inserted within the author’s own Website as well as to third-party entries in guest books, discussion forums and mailing lists established by the author. The operator of the third-party page to which reference is made is solely responsible for illegal, faulty or incomplete contents and in particular for damage resulting from the use or non-use of such information; the person who only makes reference to the particular publication by way of links shall not be held responsible.

3. Copyright and trademarks

The author strives in all publications to observe the copyrights for the graphics, audio documents, video sequences and texts used, to use graphics, audio documents, video sequences and texts which he himself has created, or to make use of license-free graphics, audio documents, video sequences and texts.

All the brand names and trademarks mentioned in the Website and possibly protected by third parties are subject without limitation to the provisions of copyright legislation in force at the time and are subject to the ownership rights of the registered owner in each case. The mere mention of the same justifies no interpretation that the trademark is not protected by rights held by third parties!

The copyright for published objects created by the author himself remains solely with the author of the pages. The reproduction or use of such graphics, audio documents, video sequences and texts in other electronic or printed publications is not permissible without the express consent of the author.

4. Data privacy

Where the Website provides an option to enter personal or business data (e-mail addresses, names, postal addresses), then the submission of this data by the user is expressly voluntary. The utilisation of and any payment associated with the services offered – in so far as this is technically possible and reasonable – is also permitted without having to enter such data or by entering anonymised data or a pseudonym.

5. Legal effect of this disclaimer

This disclaimer shall be seen as an integral part of the Website from which reference was made to the current page. In so far as parts or individual wordings in this text do not, no longer or incompletely correspond to current law, then the remaining portions of the document are unaffected in regard to their content and their validity.

Some things you ought to know

We take quite seriously the protection of your personal data and adhere to the rules set forth in data privacy legislation. The following explanation provides a summary of what kinds of data are collected and to what purpose, and of the extent to which these data are made accessible to third parties.

Data processing on these Internet pages

The data which your browser transmits to us are automatically stored in the inevitable server statistics. These are:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Referring URL (the page previously visited)
  • Host name of the computer accessing the site (IP address)
  • Time of day of the query to the server.

As a rule, these data cannot be attributed to specific individuals. These data will not be merged with other data sources; the data will be deleted following a statistical evaluation.

These Internet pages make use of cookies at several points. They serve to make our offerings more user-friendly, more effective and safer. Cookies are small text files that are saved on your computer and that your browser stores. Most of the cookies we use are “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted when you leave the Website. Cookies do no damage to your computer and contain no viruses.

Comments, e-mails

We naturally collect and store information you enter via this Website or which you transmit to us in another way. This includes, for example, comments, names, e-mail addresses and URLs you enter in the corresponding comments fields. These entries are made voluntarily and will in no way be verified; using pseudonyms etc. is possible. We would point out that the name, the Web page specified, and comments will be visible to every user of the page. Data will also be collected and stored if you send e-mails to us.

Right to information

We would be glad to provide information on the personal data which we store. We do not, however, know any more than you do. We will be glad to provide you with this small amount of information within the framework of legal entitlements to obtain such information. If you have any further questions about how we deal with your personal data, then simply send an e-mail to our address. You will find that address in the present section: “About this site”.
